Chaucer's Barn is an award-winning barn conversion that sits on the farm bought by poet Geoffrey Chaucer for his son in the 14th Century. It is situated on the edge of the charming village of Gresham, tucked into a valley in gentle hills classified as an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Chaucer's Barn is part of a 430 acre farm estate. It has its own 5 acre garden opens onto rolling fields with beautiful views over rolling fields to a mature woodland. The main open plan area is cathedral like in its proportion but has a very warm and cosy feel, being filled with English oak, heated Yorkstone flooring, a large Aga and two open fires. Further reception rooms are found in the east wing for those who prefer more privacy. Guests are welcome to roam the farm with its 12th Century ruins of Gresham Castle.
