Enjoying an elevated position above historic Edinburgh, this fine property is within a 20-minute ride of the vibrant city. Set within half-acre grounds, Liberton Tower is a magnificent 15th-century castle, commanding fine views from its parapet walkway. Owned by a preservation trust, it has been granted an international award for conservation, its grand interior combining tasteful period furnishings with modern comforts, elegantly laid out over three storeys. The city's many attractions are close by, comprising an assortment of shops, museums, theatres and art galleries dominated by the towering mass of Edinburgh Castle. The new Museum of Scotland, regaling stories of Scotland's colourful past, is certainly worth a visit, as is the Royal Yacht Britannia and the domed structure of Dynamic Earth, where visitors can experience a close encounter with the veritable forces of nature. Just across the Forth Bridge is Culross, one Scotland's most picturesque settlements, with its whitewashed, red-tiled buildings. The many attractions include the NT Visitor Centre, Culross Palace and the remains of Culross Abbey. The Perthshire Highlands, Borders and Fife, offering good walking opportunities and numerous golf courses, are within driving distance. Many pubs and restaurants close by. The property is suitable for a total of 6 people - four adults, and two children (or one child and one baby in cot).

Narrow stone spiral staircase to ground floor: Modern kitchen with dining area. Bathroom/W.C. with over-bath shower. Two narrow, very steep staircases (one spiral) to second floor: Two bedrooms with adjoining door, each with rugs on wooden floor; one double with four-poster bed (5ft ), one twin-bedded with traditional immovable box beds, two additional pull-out, fully sprung, (suitable for children only) if required, vaulted ceiling and wooden stairs to parapet walkway on roof. Separate W.C.
